The HobbySpace Store: Books
Book List 8:
NASA Mission Reports & World Spaceflight News Compilations
This virtual store is provided in association with Amazon.com.

If you really want to get into the nitty-gritty details of spaceflight, you will love these compilations of documents and multi-media about various space programs. They are perfect for space history buffs and students and can also serve as useful references for managers and engineers working on current space projects.

NASA Mission Reports by Robert Godwin of Apogee Books describe in detail the important missions of the space race. Each NASA Mission Report gives a narrative account of the mission and includes many technical background information. The accompanying CD-ROM provides videos, photographs, and other archived materials about the mission.

The World Spaceflight News compilations bring together technical documents and multimedia on a given space project or technology. They are presented in either CD-ROMs or ring-binders.

The WSN compilations include materials typically only available to the engineers, technicians and astronauts actually who worked on the projects or to those with access to NASA archives. The materials include such items as training manuals & workbooks, study reports, hardware references, schematics, diagrams, illustrations and many, many photos.

The compilations provide an unfiltered view onto the systems of hardware, software and organization for space projects from the Moon race up to the present International Space Station.
