Augustine panel spaceflight program option timelines

Matt Wronkiewicz has laid out timelines for how each of the Augustine panel program options would go if implemented:
/-- The Program of Record
/-- ISS Focused (Constrained Budget)
/-- ISS Focused (Increased Budget)
/-- ISS/Shuttle Extension
/-- Deep Space (Ares V “Light”)
/-- Deep Space (Commercial HLV)
/-- Deep Space (Shuttle Derived)

What a bleak and depressing future that spells out. Lets hope a lot more money gets poured into Commercial Space so they can do things a lot faster then proposed or speculated in those time lines.

No kidding. I was really excited about the Deep Space option until I started looking at the timeframes involved.

Agreed. Really, the best we can do is 2023-2025? I'm hoping some billionaire buys a Dragon for a 1 week jaunt that loops around the moon.

I told ya its over... what a scam no moon shot no deep space. This is how Obama kills it so cunning. Question is where does the money from shuttle ISS etc really go? To commercial companies or to buy more smokes, bear, and votes for the nanny community? So once the ISS is fried why do we need an HLV, where the h... are we flying to for all those years? Yes 2020 something is a joke a shell game. By then there will have been three or four other administrations tweaking the goals etc... Better watch where the constellation funds go real close. It smells of Govzilla conspiracy to me. This is the best the panel could come up with? I knew once the moon mars goals slipped past 2020 it was over. No where to go defined for several years. What a rat hole of a space program. So we develop a commercial HLV is that CATS is that an LEO infrastructure? OK its great that we get some funds going to commercial companies. But the goal is to far-out and way to vague. Yeah know what they do with that schedule. I hope Burt has something better mind.

What about "Deep Space Commerical" Or "Deep Space Delta Schuttle C"? Cut Ares out of it all together. Scuttling the shuttle plus the ISS should focus billions on constellation development plus a commercial Ares replacement should save even more? Why develop a HLV use the shuttle C concept or commercial non-direct moon mars plan. Seems to me some fuzzy math is going on? So much for the great all wise lame tunnel vision panel. Sorry but reading those options has blood shooting from eyes, ears, noise...!!! I got to go burn some APCP and NOX and get this depressing news off my mind.

Blah, NASA spending money on parasitic private companies (that'd likely die without the taxpayers anyhow) is still taxpayer money wrongfully taken and spent. Let's just abolish NASA, kill one more Govzilla socialist racket, and just let the free market take over space exploration with no government involvement whatsoever.
