Earthquake warnings from space

Satellite database

Nice to see that the Union for Concerned Scientists has announced that it will maintain an online database containing information on all known active satellites. The UCS Satellite Database is available as an Excel spreadsheet file and currently includes 811 entries. See also:

Imaging satellite companies have been hoping that civilian applications would eventually surpass the government spysat market but so far that hasn't happened.
